Wicker Chair Manufacturing

Our manufacturing facility is a fully-equipped space where a variety of operations are carried out for maximum efficiency.

Textilene Fabrics, Wicker Workshop
  • Weavers are weaving cushions for wicker chairs.
  • Cross weaves are used for wicker chair backs.
  • Weavers are weaving cushions for wicker chairs.
  • PE wicker resists UV light, water ingress, and aging. Highly resilient and recyclable, the polyethylene wicker has high tensile strength.
  • The Textilene fabrics and wicker workshop is staffed by more than 80 workers with at least 5 years of experience in weaving. Skilled workers team up to make around 10,000 wicker chairs a month.
  • After a wicker chair is completed, both the back and the seat are checked for levelness. Measures would be taken to loosen tighter part of the chair and to eliminate weave defects if there is any.
Injection Molding Workshop
  • 10 injection molding machines in total, two for making aluminum frame plastic chairs in 800t and 650t capacities respectively, the rest for producing various furniture parts.
  • Molds are used for injection molding, delivering a travel accuracy of 0.1mm. Monthly production yield: approx. 9000 chairs.

  • Products being packaged
  • An 80t injection molding machine is used to produce furniture accessories.
  • These furniture accessories are mounted on the aluminum frame for maximum protection against damage.
  • A 500t injection molding machine is utilized for the production of components for chair back and seat cushions.

Bamboo Finish Workshop
  • Applies varnish to wicker chair which mimics bamboo texture.
  • Semi-finished wicker chair shows a shiny clear bamboo grain finish.
  • After varnishing is done, spray paint the chair to cover the bamboo finish for protection from aging, wear and tear.
  • Spray painted wicker chair is dried in a drying room at a temperature of 160°C for about 30 minutes.
Tube Bending, Aluminum Welding Workshop
  • Tubes and aluminum profiles receive argon arc welding. Grind welds smooth after that. All technicians in this workshop have more than 5 years of welding experience.

  • Compared with manual tube bending operations, the tubing bender delivers a higher level of flexibility as it works superbly well with aluminum tubes with diameter from 14mm to 40mm.
  • Aluminum tube fittings are welded using specialized tools.
  • Welded aluminum chair frame undergoes a levelness check for any defects.

Electrochemical Workshop
  • Welded chair frame receives electrochemical oxidation. Clean it after that with water to remove remaining acids on the frame surface.
  • Semi-finished chair frame gives a shiny look.
Powder Coating Workshop

Powder paints are added to the chair surface by means of electrostatic spray painting which uses 2 rows of spray guns, including 8 spray nozzles in total, to coat furniture parts from front and back. Acid pickling is adopted to remove surface oil before the aluminum frame makes its way to the drying room then to the spray painting room. After painting is done, send the frame back to the drying room.

Pictured is black powdered paint. There you can see a uniform powder coat over the frame surface.
Cardboard Box Workshop

In-house built cardboard boxes are available in various sizes.
